Mass Timber Floor Prototypes
Full-scale CLT floor prototypes with Laser Doppler Vibrometry measurements.

Design, fabrication and assembly of two full-scale Cross Laminated Timber floor prototypes on a glulam frame, built at the University of Washington to study the vibro-acoustic performance of mass timber floors with complex geometry. The prototypes were measured with Laser Doppler Vibrometry to validate finite element models of low-frequency sound transmission and study the influence of geometry and joinery.
